Exclusive Interview

Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
We are a Houston based group. We got to where we are today by sticking together and focusing on our goals

What do you have coming up? What are some of the new projects we can expect to see?
We are working on a mixtape and prepping videos and shorts from selected songs on that project.

Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone.
Rock-n-Roll Thug is an energy track to showcase our originality and the blend and style we bring to the table. Its a song thats about confidence and charisma. Basically its saying I know who i am…do you know who you are? If you are confident then show love. No one and nothing is perfect but lets live life to the fullest and miss me with dumb shit and the crumb shit.

How does your music separate yourself from other artists and bands out there?
I think our music is different in all ways. The song writing takes different angles and our onstage performance is different from an energy perspective. The music covers a lot of ground by being cross platform sonically. It can be played in the hood and the suburbs, in a club or an ipod. We make it with all those factors in mind.

Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
The hardest challenge is being viewed on our talent more than our persona. A lot of people want you to surround yourself with all the things that make you appear to be a star and it shows people could care less about the music. They want the pagentry and the drama and the 3rd party representation to believe you have talent when the very thing that brings the fore-mentioned about is….talent. It should always begin and end with the music. Personal style and persona are things that attract people in the social realm but music is what should be important. If you dont have some slick haired fast talker with you then you are “just another band.”

What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
We take all set backs in stride and as a part of the bigger picture. When anything happens we just regroup, learn and move on.

What are some things artists need to be careful of?
Artist need to be careful of getting in their own way. Some artist are too emotional. They panic at the thought of having to be a business man as well as an artist or they let what they feel control what they do.  Dont miss an opportunity because you feel a certain way. Hiding, running and pouting will not help any one.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Get a plan and work the plan. If its a band like us, find us, hit us up and lets collab

What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
Live performance. I think if you rock a stage and command attention it gets respect and prompts people to engage with the music in their personal listening time and space.
